After conquering the handheld market for over 2 years with the DS Lite, Nintendo's latest offering - the Nintendo DSi - is even more slimmer and more functional than it's predecessor, making it one of the most sought after product this holiday season.
The Nintendo DSi is 12% thinner and includes 2 built-in cameras as well as music playback. An SD card slot and internal storage are also built-in to enhance its multimedia capabilities.
The screens are slightly larger at 3.25 inches (17% bigger than DS Lite screens) and the unit will include a free browser application also built-in.
Although the user interface of the Nintendo DSi is only in Japanese, all Nintendo DS games are still compatible, regardless of region. The slight drawback is that the DSi no longer supports GBA games as the GBA slot will be removed entirely. Games can also be downloaded and stored on the SD card (feature only available in Japan).
