What currency are your prices listed in?
US dollars is the primary currency. We also list Euros/GBP for reference only but the final transaction amount is based on the US price as listed next to the products on our website. If you are living in another country, use our currency converter to find out what the prices are in your local currency.
What are the regions for the new PS3 Blu-Ray disc?
Region 1: North America, South America, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, India, and the rest of East Asia (excluding mainland China)
Region 2: Europe and Africa
Region 3: China, Russia and other countries.

How do I upgrade the firmware on the PS3?
First of all, if you own a Japanese PS3, you MUST only update with Japanese firmware. Likewise, US PS3 owners must update only with US version firmware. Failure to do so can render your PS3 usless.
2 ways to perform PS3 System update:
1. Via PS3
If the PS3 has internet access, updates can be done via PS3's XMB.
- From the "Home" menu, select "Settings" > "System Update" > "Update via Internet".
- System automatically searches for the latest version of update data. Once found, download data and DO NOT POWER OFF/RESET PS3 whilst downloading/updating.
- Once update is complete, go to "Settings" > "System Settings" > "System Information" to check the System Software version to confirm if update was successful.
2. Via PC
- Storage media (Memory Stick, SD Memory Card, CompactFlash) required to save update data. Using a PC, create a folder named "PS3" on the root of the storage media. Within the "PS3" folder, create a folder named "UPDATE".
Folder names must be in UPPERCASE LETTERS.
- Download the update data and save it in the "UPDATE" folder. Save as file name "PS3UPDAT.PUP".

PS3
Region Free - All PS3 games have no region protection and can be played on PS3 consoles regardless of region. (e.g. a Japanese PS3 game can be played on a UK PS3).
PS2
NTSC J - Games listed as NTSC J are only compatible with PS2 consoles from Asia or Japan.
NTSC U/C - Games listed as NTSC U/C are only compatible with PS2 consoles from North America or Canada.
Xbox 360
NTSC J - Games listed as NTSC J are only compatible with Xbox 360 consoles from Asia or Japan.
NTSC U/C - Games listed as NTSC U/C are only compatible with Xbox 360 consoles from North America or Canada.
Region Free - Games listed as Region Free are playable on all Xbox 360 consoles regardless of region/version.
Nintendo Wii
NTSC J - Games listed as NTSC J are only compatible with Wii consoles from Asia or Japan.

How much is shipping to my house?
That depends on what you are ordering since shipping costs are highly sensitive to weight and dimensions. The heavier and larger your order is, the more it will cost to ship. However, there are economies of scale and shipping cost per kilogram decreases as the package gets heavier. It's always more cost effective to ship more items in one package than to ship separately.
We use a variety of express mail services - including DHL, UPS, FEDEX, and Speedpost. We will elect the lowest cost and most reliable service for your location.
We also offer Registered Airmail as a shipping option, it is the Cheapest but Traceable shipping option, unlike other sites, we guarantee your delivery, if the post office lost it, we will send you a new one.
If you have friends who live near you, and would like to order as well - you can suggest batching everything into one order to save on shipping costs for everyone.
The total shipping cost is calculated automatically for your order when you check-out your shopping cart from within our online store.
How do I pay for my purchase?
There are various methods of payment including credit card, International Money Orders (IMO), Bank Drafts and direct bank-to-bank wire transfer. For large orders, wire transfers make the most sense and we are willing to offer a discount. RenChi reserves the right to insist on wire transfers depending on the dollar amount and the country in question.
Note that IMOs and Bank Drafts require 30 days to clear and we will only ship out your order after that has occurred. As such, we recommend you use credit card if you simply cannot wait.

Do you take credit cards?
Yes! We take VISA directly and securely online. Our site uses Verisign for secure processing. We also do NOT store your credit card information on our site so your information goes directly to the bank. Make sure your VISA card is 3D verified before using on our site. You can check this by calling your VISA card issuing bank.
We also take payment through Paypal. You can thus use Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Credit card information is processed through SSL for security.

We accept returns for store exchange credit. A 20% restocking fee is levied on returned items.

Is it legal to import video gaming products to where I live?
Absolutely! There are no laws governing the importation of video game equipment and games into most countries. A small number of countries may restrict importation of certain sexually explicit or violent games, although this is treated on a case-by-case basis. In these cases, you might be ordering at your own risk and you should find out whether the game is banned in your country. If you have questions, you can always inquire to our sales representative.
Where do you ship?
We ship all over the world; from Alaska to Russia. Please note that we do NOT ship to P.O. Boxes or hotels. However, we do ship to APO's.
How long after I pay can I expect to receive my order?
We typically ship within 24 hours for standard items, and 2 -5 days for special order items. Add to that the time for express mail delivery and customs clearance (which can add anywhere from 2 to 5 days), you should expect to receive your order within 2 to 7 days of placing an order with us.
International delivery time may vary, particularly during holiday seasons such as Christmas.
Please note that our shipping department does not operate on public holidays or when severe tropical storms affect Hong Kong's shipping and postal service. Note that on these occasions, post offices are usually closed for business as well.
What kinds of guarantee are offered?

We do not offer a guarantee on the products themselves and that's why you should read the instructions carefully before using your product. Should you find damage or problems with your purchase, please contact us within 24 hours for immediate action. You should email service@renchi.com in such situations.

Will I be charged import taxes or duties?
Possibly yes. If your country elects to charge you import sales tax, you are reponsible for paying your own taxes.
Some countries will tax imported goods and this may apply to you. However, even this is not consistent for every state or region within each country, and the shipping company will also make a difference as to whether tax is charged or not. Taxation and import duties also might not be applied if customs does not inspect your package.
We have no control of whether import tax is levied on your purchase or not. Please read our Customs Duties and Taxes statement before you purchase.

What are Bonus Points?

Do you buy or sell second-hand consoles and games?
From time to time we do sell pre-owned consoles and games. We will post these as they become available.
Do the games on this website work on my console?
Some factory consoles are designed to only play games published in certain countries. For example, PS2 consoles sold in the USA are restricted to playing US version PS2 games. However, these consoles can be modified to become "all-region" machines. If you modify your console to become all-region capable, it will play games published from all over the world, including games designed for markets other than your home market.
The newer hand-held consoles (e.g. Nintendo DS and Sony PSP) are now "all-region" capable, and can play games from all over the world without any modifications!

Do you distribute to wholesale buyers?

Do you have a telephone number or fax number to take orders?
We do not take telephone or fax orders. All inquiries should be sent to sales@renchi.com, and all orders are placed directly online through our easy-to-use online store.
Are there times during the year which you are closed for business?
Yes, we observe all major holidays. During these days, we will post a notice on our main page informing customers of this. Basically when the post office is closed, we are unable to ship our products out. You can send us orders and these will be processed on the first business day following the holiday in the order in which they were received.
I've sent many emails to you but have not gotten a response. What's going on?
Please be sure to send to our sales@renchi.com address and do not send order inquiries to our webmaster@renchi.com account. If you sent your inquiry during a public holiday or a weekend, please expect an answer by the following business day.
Also beware that some mail servers block our email address. AOL in particular delays email responses from us by several days, and sometimes blocks them outright. If you have not received a response from us for a long time, consider mailing us from a Hotmail or Yahoo email account, or you can call our office directly to ensure we did receive your inquiry.
I am visiting Hong Kong soon. How do I get to your shop?

I have placed an order with you or have sent an inquiry via your web site, but have not heard back from you or did not get any email back on my order, why?
Many ISP (Internet Service Provider) and webmail platform (like AOL, YAHOO, HOTMAIL, etc.) have very aggressive filtering of email due to junk mail. So please check your junk mail or bulk mail folder to see if our messages are there.
